Stage 5 - Obanos - Estella/Lizarra

Length 26,8 Kms  Time Long: 6h 15 min.

The camino coming from Obanos runs to the left of the Church, then descend to the right along a path parallel to the façade. Cross the road and through orchards reach Hotel Jakue, and shortly afterwards the hostel's parents repairmen at the entrance to Puente la Reina. We cross the famous bridge and the road runs parallel to the N111 road towards Logroño.

 

First we arrived at the village of Mañeru and then through fields of cereals and vineyards to Cirauqui. The camino leaves the village down and shortly after we crossed the road and continue parallel to the highway. Crossing the Salt River by a medieval bridge before arriving in Lorca. It is a good time to make a break, we continue by the N111 road and walk a stretch until the road deviates to become agrarian track left. Crossing a plain and uncomplicated terrain first we reached Villatuerta and, crossing the Valley of the river Ega, we reached Estella/Lizarra .
